MetroBiotech NAD+ precursors, NAD+ biology, healthspan
MetroBiotech is a U.S. clinical-stage drug developer building proprietary NAD+ precursor therapeutics, centered on MIB-626 and the newer MIB-725, for age-related and mitochondrial-linked diseases. The strongest direct evidence is early and uneven: a small 14-day placebo-controlled human study found MIB-626 increased circulating NAD and related metabolites in older adults, a 2025 paper title indicates MIB-626 safely raised blood NAD in hospitalized COVID-19 patients with acute kidney injury, and a 2025 press release/news cycle reported initial Phase 1a dosing of MIB-725 without dose-limiting toxicities in the first 4 of 8 healthy volunteers. Most broader efficacy claims remain company-reported, indication-specific outcomes are not established here, and much of the supporting context is patent, press, or promotional material rather than mature clinical evidence.
The published score reflects a curated read of public evidence across 16 dimensions. Each dimension below shows the rationale we used. Disagree with a reading? Tell us where we are wrong
Higher up = higher Eternal Search score. Further right = closer to achieving real longevity outcomes (early mechanism → translational → near-term readout). Bubble size = capital deployed. Watch for MISMATCHES: big bubbles on the left are well-capitalized but far from goals; small bubbles on the right are doing more with less.
