Timing tests compare immune interventions
Full text
This proposed skin-healing hypothesis asks whether timing treatment can restore middle-aged skin function while keeping microbial defenses intact.
It compares immune suppression, reduced protective immune-cell activity, with active resolution, a proposed process that ends inflammation while preserving microbial clearance. The model predicts a late-treatment advantage only with suppression, since early suppression may impair protection. Equal or faster early recovery with active resolution and intact microbial control would support it. Testing requires early and late treatments, then tracking immune function, microbes, inflammation, barrier and mechanical recovery.
