Antibodies trigger systemic inflammation
Full text
This proposed hypothesis asks whether antibodies that help wounded skin repair can also spark inflammation far from the wound when several repair sites overlap.
In skin samples sharing one fluid medium, it predicts a peak at a middle balance of tissue proteins released during repair and antibodies. Large antibody-protein clusters would bind C1q, a complement protein, and activate distant immune cells. Removing and restoring the antibodies must reproduce this sequence to support the mechanism.
