Wider contacts impair macrophage engulfment

This proposed mechanism asks why inflammation can return after tissue damage: macrophages, immune cells that clear debris, may miss their target when cell-contact gaps widen.
The test changes only connector length. If short gaps exclude CD45, an enzyme that dampens engulfment signals, and clearance rises, geometry gains support.
