Calcium phosphate growth sustains damage
Full text
This proposed hypothesis asks whether calcium phosphate mineral particles can sustain damage transfer between the gut and blood vessels after its trigger passes.
With calcium and phosphate ions, proteins and external stresses matched, adding tiny mineral seeds would be predicted to grow new particles and sustain injury. Similar growth-suppressed particles should fail to start the cycle. If dissolving the mineral phase stops transfer while ion concentrations are restored, fresh seeds restarting it would implicate particle growth as the sustaining link.
