Test timing distorts recovery assessment
Full text
This proposed hypothesis asks whether meal timing truly harms recovery after tissue replacement, or whether the apparent harm comes from testing bodies at different points in their daily rhythm.
At one fixed clock time, one group may be in a short fasting- or sleep-related dip while another is at a different biological phase, its internal daily timing. Sparse tissue samples can also misidentify that phase.
The proposed test would measure function across the daily cycle, balancing biological phase and time since feeding across groups. If the deficit vanishes, timing would explain it; persistent dysfunction after phase-balanced testing would favour a replacement-specific biological mechanism. No experiment, result, threshold, sample size, or protocol exists yet.
