Carrier oxidation risks skin damage
Full text
This proposed skin-treatment hypothesis asks whether a lipid carrier, an oily drug-delivery material, can drive skin damage.
Sunlight may oxidize its surface film, forming reactive lipid hydroperoxides and aldehydes, products that can damage molecules. A sterile model would compare oxidizable and stable carriers at matched drug exposure, hydration, occlusion and light. Adding products back should restore damage if the mechanism is correct.
