Scoring splits transmission families
Full text
This proposed hypothesis asks whether cultural transmission, information passing between people or outputs, can appear to have too many separate causes.
Condition-dependent scoring would split one change into several scores as setting, unit boundary, or provenance changes. The same outputs would pass through randomized coding pipelines, calibrated in blinded tests with known origin and meaning.
Two families would remain only if removing a source changes reconstruction, rebuilding information from its source, and choices among fixed artifacts change selection. Tests of comprehension and enactment would validate scores. A behavioral residual that survives and disappears only when its dependency is removed would favor a larger set. A held-out cohort could test it.
