Maintenance targets skin-function deviations
Full text
Can treatment restore middle-aged human skin to a young functional range for 10 years? This proposed hypothesis says continued care may decide durability.
It compares two alternatives: rebuilding the skin’s surface, deeper, and appendage cells, or replacing these structures with tissue. Each would receive local maintenance, small procedures after restoration that renew function. The proposed mechanism is that maintenance interrupts unpredictable functional changes before a measure leaves the young reference range.
A one-time treatment is predicted to cross that boundary before 10 years. Testing the prediction would require frequent measurements, exposure and procedure records, treatment burden, and rare complications. Both routes need preclinical development.
