Full scientific poster: Pooling mimics hormone-linked functional syndromes

Full text

Perimenopause may bring lasting functional decline, and researchers ask whether hormone shifts cause it or treatable problems are grouped together. This hypothesis says sampling and diagnosis may make hormone fluctuations seem causal when sleep disorders, disease, or deconditioning drive function. A trial would separately assign strategies changing average hormone exposure or variability, plus indicated downstream treatment. Prediction: with verified hormone separation, hormone strategies would yield no meaningful difference in sustained objective function. Treatment for those problems would help equally across assignments. Wide uncertainty would settle nothing.
