A 2015 US patent application on using NMN in anti-aging preparations was published in 2017; its Google Patents status is now Abandoned.
Patent application US20170266213A1, filed in December 2015 by Hoboomlife Bio Technology (Shenzhen). Named inventors: Rongzhao Fu and Qi Zhang. Title: "Use of beta-nicotinamide mononucleotide in preparation of anti-aging drugs or health-care products." Priority date: March 2015. Published September 2017. Google Patents lists it as Abandoned.
Rights passed from Fu and Zhang to Shenzhen-based Bontac Bio-Engineering, then to Hoboomlife Bio-Technology. The filing lists NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide, an NAD precursor that increases NAD availability and supports cellular energy metabolism) alongside five related compounds: NAD, NAM, NR, NaR, and NaNM. Example dose: 125 mg in a separate capsule compartment.
Whether the application contains experimental data beyond broad anti-aging language is not clear from available sources. Why it was abandoned is also unknown.
