Professor Fatemeh Vafaee is an Australian biomedical AI researcher and academic leader at UNSW, where she serves as Deputy Director (Science) of the UNSW AI Institute and leads the Biomedical AI Laboratory. Her work spans AI-driven drug discovery, multi-omics, precision medicine, and diagnostics, including development of the AlgoraeOS platform and AI-enabled cancer detection programs. She also founded Omniomics.ai and co-founded OmniTx.AI to translate academic research into commercial biomedical AI products.
