Vineeta Agarwala, MD, PhD is a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz where she leads Bio + Health investing across biotech, life sciences software, and digital health. Before a16z, she worked at GV, Flatiron Health, McKinsey, and in academic research, and she trained as a physician-scientist with degrees from Stanford and Harvard/MIT. As of June 5, 2025, NVCA announced she would serve as chair of its board for the 2025-2026 term, and a16z says she also continues to practice at Stanford as an adjunct clinical professor.
