James Jianzhang Liang is the co-founder and executive chairman of Trip.com Group, the global online travel company he helped build from its 1999 founding. He previously served as Trip.com's CEO and remains one of its largest disclosed insider shareholders. Outside the company, Liang is a Peking University economics professor whose work focuses on demographics, innovation, education, and fertility policy, and he launched the Genovation Foundation in 2025.
