John D. Diekman, PhD is a founding partner of 5AM Ventures, a life-science venture capital firm focused on building and backing biotechnology companies. He also serves on corporate and nonprofit boards including Zai Lab and Scripps Research. Earlier in his career he was a founder and managing director of Bay City Capital and held senior operating roles at Affymetrix and Affymax.
