Patrick Gunning is a medicinal chemist and academic entrepreneur best known for his work in cancer therapeutics and small-molecule drug discovery. University of Toronto Mississauga describes him as a faculty member in Chemical & Physical Sciences, a Canada Research Chair in Medicinal Chemistry, and leader of a cancer stem cell therapeutics research program. He has also held biotech founding and executive roles including co-founder/acting CEO/CSO of Dunad Therapeutics and CEO/director/co-founder of Carnyx Therapeutics.
