Daniel Darvish is a rare-disease entrepreneur, physician, and patient-advocate focused on GNE myopathy/HIBM. He founded the nonprofit HIBM Research Group and later founded Orphina Biotechnology, which says it grew out of that nonprofit to accelerate orphan-disease therapeutics. Public sources also show him as an inventor on a GNE-related therapeutic patent application and as a collaborator in biomarker and orphan-drug development efforts.
