Vijay Pande is a scientist-turned-venture capitalist focused on AI, biology, and healthcare. He spent years as a Stanford professor and founded Folding@home before joining Andreessen Horowitz in 2015 to build its Bio + Health investing practice. In 2025 he left a16z and, by January 2026, was publicly reported as co-founding VZVC, a new venture firm focused on AI and consumer health.
