José Pedro Castro is a Portuguese aging and longevity researcher affiliated with i3S at the University of Porto, where he works in the Ageing and Aneuploidy group. His published and institutional profiles show prior research at the German Institute of Human Nutrition and Harvard Medical School, with work spanning proteostasis, inflammaging, cancer trajectories, and exceptional longevity genetics. He is active in scientific communication and community-building in longevity, including invited teaching and co-founding the Portuguese Society for Science and Longevity Medicine (SPMCLong).
