Don Thompson is the former President and CEO of McDonald's Corporation and the founder and CEO of Cleveland Avenue, a Chicago-based investment firm focused on consumer, food, beverage, restaurant-tech, and adjacent growth markets. He co-founded Cleveland Avenue with his wife Liz Thompson after leaving McDonald's in 2015. He has also held board roles at Beyond Meat, Royal Caribbean, Northern Trust, Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, and other organizations.
