Claudia F. Lucchinetti, M.D., is dean of Dell Medical School and senior vice president for medical affairs at The University of Texas at Austin. She is a neurologist and physician-scientist known for research on multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, MOG antibody disease, and related inflammatory demyelinating disorders. Before joining UT Austin in December 2022, she held senior academic and research leadership roles at Mayo Clinic, including dean of clinical and translational science, director of the Center for Clinical and Translational Science, and chair of neurology.
