Dr. Johnathan Matlock holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Bristol and is a Chartered Chemist of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He co-founded Empirical Ventures with Dr. Ben Miles after both served on the core scientific team at Ziylo Ltd (acquired by Novo Nordisk). He is also co-founder of Science Angel Syndicate and an active angel investor with 38 frontier science and technology companies in his personal portfolio.
